A permit is good for 6 months upon issuance.  If there is recorded activity on that permit, such as an inspection in the first 6 months, a 6 month extension will be given.  If there is no recorded activity on a permit within the first 6 months, the permit will become invalid.  Cancelled or invalid permits cannot be refunded or reinstated.
