Livingston County EMS is always looking for qualified employees.

Minimum requirements are:

 
EMT, Specialist or Paramedic license
ACLS Certification
HazMat Awareness certificate
If Past Military Service - DD214

Preferred:

 
Paramedic
HazMat Operations certificate

Basic EMT's can work at Special Events, Demos and stand-bys. They may also be used to staff rigs in the event of a disaster. The Washtenaw/Livingston Medical Control Authority requires that an ALS rig is staffed with a minimum of one Paramedic and one Specialist unless an unusual circumstance arises.

All Full Time employees are required to become licensed at the Paramedic level within 24 months of employment. In addition all employees must complete and pass the Washtenaw/Livingston County Medical Control Authority test within 3 months of their hire.
