| A court may utilize an informal procedure contained in the Juvenile Code for certain criminal traffic violations. If you are a juvenile (under 17 years of age) and reside in Livingston County then the traffic ticket will be processed by the Livingston County Juvenile Court. | |

Under MCL 712A.2b, if a violation of the Michigan Vehicle Code is alleged: |

The court will schedule the matter for an
informal hearing. |
|
| If the court finds that the allegation is true, it may impose a disposition, possible dispositions are: | |
|
|
a) dismissal b) assessment of fines and costs c) Secretary of State notification d) a period of informal Court supervision with terms e) transfer unto the Court's formal docket f ) referral to the Diversion Program |
| Failure to appear as noticed may result in the traffic ticket being transferred to the courts formal docket and suspension of your license until said matter is resolved. | |
