On December 4, 2008, a District Court jury found Kevin Patrick Brennan guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated for an incident in Hamburg Township on May 7, 2008. The case was prosecuted by Dan Rose.

On November 20, 2008, a District Court jury found David James Scott guilty of Operating a Vehicle With the Presence of a Controlled Substance and Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle for an incident in Hamburg Township on September 2, 2007. The case was prosecuted by Angela DelVero.

On November 20, 2008, a District Court jury found Leah Schemanski guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated for an incident in Genoa Township on September 7, 2008. The case was prosecuted by Shawn Ryan.

On September 23, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the convictions and sentences of Grant William Czuj for Operating a Marine Vessel While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor Causing Death, Negligent Operation of a Marine Vessel Causing Death, Operating a Marine Vessel While Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor Causing Serious Injury, and Negligent Operation of a Marine Vessel Causing Serious Injury. In a case tried in December of 2006, Czuj was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 100 months to 15 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On September 23, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the conviction of John Aldon Corrion for Solicitation to Commit Murder. In a case tried in March of 2007, Corrion was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 21 years and 10 months to 40 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On September 11, 2008, a District Court jury found Craig Steven Schaft guilty of Attempted Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated as a second offender for an incident in Howell on May 24, 2008. The case was prosecuted by Angela DelVero.

On September 10, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Jason Todd Wiseman guilty of Interfering with Electronic Communications for an incident on April 5, 2008 in Hamburg Township. Wiseman faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison as a Second Habitual Offender when he is sentenced on October 16, 2008 by the Hon. Stanley J. Latreille. The case was prosecuted by Miriam Cavanaugh.

On August 29, 2008, Nicholas Cole Sinnett was sentenced to serve 20-50 years in prison by the Hon. Stanley J. Latreille. Sinnett pled guilty to Unarmed Robbery as a Fourth Habitual Offender on June 23, 2008 for an incident on December 4, 2007 in Genoa Township. The case was prosecuted by Miriam Cavanaugh.

On August 27, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Rene Sue Regan guilty of Embezzlement Over $1,000 arising from 2005 through 2007 in Howell. Regan faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison when she is sentenced on October 2, 2008 by the Hon. Stanley J. Latreille. The case was prosecuted by Pam Maas.

On August 13, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Erin Keith Jurvis guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated for an incident on March 16, 2008 in Tyrone Township. Jurvis faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison as a third offender when he is sentenced on September 25, 2008 by the Hon. David J. Reader. The case was prosecuted by Jim Metz.

On July 17, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Gary Clinton Owens guilty of two counts of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for an incident on August 30, 2007 in Howell. Owens faces a maximum sentence of fifteen years in prison when he is sentenced on September 11, 2008 by the Hon. David J. Reader. The case was prosecuted by Pam Maas.

On June 18, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Blane Vernon Smallwood guilty of Second Degree Home Invasion for an incident on October 1, 2007 in Green Oak Township. Smallwood was sentenced to serve 66 months to 20 years in prison as a Fourth Habitual Offender on August 7, 2008 by the Hon. Stanley J. Latreille. The case was prosecuted by Pam Maas.

On May 16, 2008, a District Court jury found Lawrence Howard Smith guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated as a second offender for an incident in Deerfield Township on February 7, 2008. The case was prosecuted by Angela DelVero.

On May 15, 2008, a District Court jury found Alexandra Rancont guilty of Possession of Marijuana for an incident in Hamburg Township on February 23, 2008. The case was prosecuted by Angela DelVero.

On May 15, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the conviction of Mark Robert Petri for Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct - Second Offense. In a case tried in October of 2006, Petri was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 14 years and10 months to 22-1/2 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On May 13, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the conviction of Ronald Martin Campbell for Operating While Intoxicated - Second Offense. In a case tried in June of 2006, Campbell was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 30 days in jail. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On April 29, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the conviction of Edward Ford Garland for Assault With Intent to Cause Great Bodily Harm. In a case tried in March of 2006, Garland was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 28 months - 10 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On April 17, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the convictions of Andrew Tyrone Bell for Armed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, but remanded the case for resentencing because of an error in scoring the sentencing guidelines. In a case tried in April of 2005, Bell was convicted by a jury and originally sentenced to serve 216 months - 30 years in prison. At his resentencing on June 26, 2008, Bell was sentenced to serve 25 - 40 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On April 14, 2008, the Michigan Supreme Court issued an opinion in an appeal filed by the Livingston County Prosecutor’s Office in the case of the People v David Carl Barrett. The Supreme Court agreed with the prosecutor that it had erroneously imposed requirements on the admission of certain evidence when it construed a rule of evidence in a 1989 case. Accordingly, the Supreme Court overruled that 1989 precedent and remanded the case to District Court to consider the evidence. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On March 18, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals issued an opinion affirming an order by the Circuit Court denying a request to terminate the requirement that a juvenile offender register as a sex offender. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On March 18, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the conviction of Jason Ryan Norton for Perjury. In a case tried in July of 2005, Norton was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 38 months - 15 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On March 13, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the convictions of Donald Robert Grochowski for five counts of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and three counts of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. In a case tried in May of 2006, Grochowski was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 20 - 40 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On March 13, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the convictions of Michael Leslie Ramsey for Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death, Operating While Intoxicated Causing Serious Injury, Failing to Stop at the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death, and Failing to Stop at the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Serious Injury. In a case tried in December of 2005, Ramsey was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 86 months - 15 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On March 13, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the conviction of Brad Horace Bean for Armed Robbery. In a case tried in January of 2006, Bean was convicted by a jury and sentenced to serve 5 - 30 years in prison. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On March 11, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the sentence of Gary Steven Uphaus. Uphaus was sentenced by the Hon. Daniel A. Burress on October 27, 2005 to serve 4 - 8 years in prison for Delivery of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and Possessing a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On March 4, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Robert Wyatt Wilburn guilty of one count of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and two counts of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for an incident on March 3, 2007 in Green Oak Township. Wilburn was sentenced to serve 10 - 20 years in prison on April 17, 2008 by the Hon. David J. Reader. The case was prosecuted by Pam Maas.

On February 15, 2008, a District Court jury found John Dayton Tarr, Jr. guilty of Domestic Violence for an incident in Putnam Township on December 12, 2007. The case was prosecuted by Angela DelVero.

On January 31, 2008, a District Court jury found Malota Juncaj guilty of Operating While Impaired - Second Offense and Failing to Report an Accident for an incident in Brighton Township on November 5, 2007. The case was prosecuted by Dan Rose.

On January 29, 2008, the Michigan Court of Appeals affirmed the sentence of Patrick Wayne Feltson. Feltson was ordered by the Hon. David J. Reader in February of 2006 to serve 11 months in the Livingston County Jail for Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana after serving two years in prison for Possessing a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Defendant’s attempt to serve the county jail sentence at the same time as his prison sentence, effectively eliminating it, was rejected by the Court of Appeals. The appeal was prosecuted by Bill Vailliencourt.

On January 16, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Keith Russell Mogg guilty of two counts of Third Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct for an incident in September of 2006 in Hamburg Township. Mogg was sentenced to serve 5 - 15 years in prison on March 7, 2008 by the Hon. David J. Reader. The case was prosecuted by Pam Maas.

On January 16, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Gary Joseph Kulpa guilty of Operating While Intoxicated - Third Offense, Driving While License Suspended - Second Offense, and Providing False Information to a Police Officer for an incident on June 20, 2007 in Genoa Township. Kulpa faces a maximum sentence of life in prison as a Fourth Habitual Offender when he is sentenced on February 21, 2008. The case was prosecuted by Miriam Cavanaugh.

On January 8, 2008, a Circuit Court jury found Timothy Allen Taylor, Jr. guilty of Armed Robbery for an incident on October 6, 2007 in Tyrone Township. Taylor was sentenced to serve 20 - 50 years in prison as a Third Habitual Offender by the Hon. David J. Reader on February 21, 2008. The case was prosecuted by Jim Metz.
