Community Clean-ups

Each year, many communities offer one day events where residents can dispose of unwanted large items that are difficult to dispose of. Some of the items generally collected include appliances, furniture and tires. No community will accept household hazardous waste such as used oil, paint or gasoline. For information on where to take household hazardous waste, refer to our Household Hazardous Waste Page.

Each community is different - some may charge a fee, while others may have a limit on the number of items allowed per resident. Please contact your township, village or city for additional information regarding your community clean up.
