ADMINISTRATION BUILDING RENOVATION

The Administration Building is located at 304 E. Grand River Avenue, in downtown Howell, next to the Historic Courthouse. It is the home of the Board of Commissioners, County Administration, Equalization, Information Technology (including Addressing / Geographic Information Systems and Computer Information Services), Personnel, and Planning.

Renovation will entail a complete remodel of both the upper and lower levels of the building, together with demolition of the west stairwell, with completion scheduled for the Fall, 2004. Lindhout Associates Architects of Brighton is the architect / consulting firm for this project, while Sorensen Gross, of Flint, will serve as General Contractor.

During this remodeling, the involved departments will be relocated and may be reached as follows:

The renovated floor plan will relocate Personnel to the Upper Level, while Equalization will be moved to the Lower Level, reflecting a more "open" space design.
