Pictorial History - Part 3

Spence Hardy (pictured with Betty Stentz) was the airport manager from 1966 - 1988. He was also the main flight instructor, and taught many people how to fly.

In 1977, the cost of flight   school was a little less expensive than it is today.

Still no taxiway, that came in 1988.

Another view.
Note M-59 finally made it to the freeway.

All graded and ready to go, to add on an extension to the runway and a new taxiway. The Spirit of Good Cheer Operation originated at our very own Livingston County Airport with a mechanical breakdown. Now it has moved to Oakland International Airport. Click here for more information about the program.

The Livingston County Airport has had a long history, and a bright future.
