The Computer Information Services Department of Livingston County is responsible for keeping the computerized components of the County Government up and running under the umbrella of the greater IT Department as is Geographic Information Systems, and Communications.

We are responsible for such diverse duties as purchasing and installing hardware, making sure employees are tied into the network, buying and installing software applications and then training the county employees how to use all of the above.

In cases where packaged software is not enough to satisfy the needs of a department, we provide application development.  This is especially the case in areas where large quantities of data is housed on one of the larger, midrange computers that we also maintain.

We man a help desk during business hours that all employees avail themselves of, in order to accomplish these ends.

Finally, we are responsible for creating and maintaining the websites of the various departments, and help them share useful information with the public that they serve.

Mission Statement:

"Our purpose is to provide County Departments with the highest quality of service, support, coordination, dependability and planning for future technology.

We achieve this purpose through innovative technological leadership and the spirit, knowledge and integrity of our staff."
