Upcoming

We are always trying to stay on top of technical developments that will help us serve the residents of Livingston County, faster, and more fully.

Recently we have added a new permitting system that helps many departments streamline the processes involved with issuing any kind of permit.  It is still in it's early stages, and we expect to realize a great improvement in our efficiency in this area.

Automated permitting software is now used in the following types of permits:

Building Septic & Well Waivers
Electrical Building Code Enforcement
Mechanical Soil Evaluation
Plumbing Environmental Health Service Requests
Septic Well

Soon the Drain department will make use of this system.

We have beefed up our security both physically and digitally, limiting access to our data and equipment. Our technicians will all be wearing county name tags. County employees requiring work on their machine, must be able to identify technicians as properly authorized.

We are looking to add a storage area network capable of holding more than 700 gig of data, 70 more new PCs installed and continuing improvements to the help desk area.

Our website is always changing and growing as departments add more and more web based content and services. Make sure that you add the county site to your favorites. It really is a wealth of useful information, available for you 24 / 7.
