Polling Locations
· The polling place, or
precinct, is where you go to cast your ballot on the day of the
election.

are registered or the precinct number or polling place location in
which you are registered, please contact the city, township, or
village clerk’s office, or your local school district’s
administration office for regular and special school elections.
Voting Procedures
· When you arrive at your polling place location, a
precinct inspector will ask that you complete an Application to Vote
form to verify your name and address as shown on the precinct poll
list.
· The type of ballot being used on the day of the
election will depend upon the type of voting method (optical scan or
paper ballot) used by your local clerk and/or school election
official.
· The precinct inspectors will provide instructions
on how to mark the ballot.

Absentee Voting Restriction
· A person who registers to vote in a jurisdiction in the State of
Michigan by mail must vote in person on the day of the election if that
person has not previously voted in person in that jurisdiction.
