U.S. Passport Information

Passport Acceptance Hours at the County Clerk's office are 8:30 - 4:00 Monday - Friday

To obtain a U.S. Passport Book you must provide the following:

	Proof of citizenship (certified birth certificate or original naturalization certificate)
	You must show valid picture identification (driver's license or Michigan State I.D.)
	Passport applications, available at the Clerk's Office, must be completed in person.

  Passport Book Fees - Effective July 13, 2010  (Passport Form DSP-11)

Add $60.00 Per Application for Expedited Service. Price does not include urgent mailing or delivery service. This service must be arranged by the customer.

Passport Photo standards: Taken alone, sufficiently recent to be a good likeness (normally taken within the last 6 months), with an image size from bottom of chin to top of head (including hair) of between 1 and 1 3/8 inches. Photo must be clear, front view, full face, taken in normal street attire without a hat or dark glasses with a white or off-white background. They must be capable of withstanding a mounting temperature of 225° Fahrenheit (107° Celsius). Snapshots, most vending machine prints, and magazine or full-length photographs are unacceptable.

Special Requirements for Children Under Age 16

This form should be submitted, along with the DS-11 Application for Passport, for minors under age 16 as evidence of parental permission DS-3053: Statement  of Consent
