The Drain Commissioner

Commissioner The role of a Drain Commissioner can best be described as a water resource manager. Areas that concern the Drain Commissioner are storm water drainage, lake management, hazardous waste disposal, Wastewater treatment, and other duties. The Drain Commissioner deals almost exclusively with issues that directly or indirectly affect water quality.

The role of Drain Commissioner is an intensive balancing act.  The Commissioner must balance the need to protect individual property and human health with environmental protection.
