Genoa Township

Genoa Township is located in the southeast quadrant of Livingston County.  The Grand River Avenue corridor dissects the community and connects the two cities of Howell and Brighton.  This transportation corridor was originally an Indian Trail from Detroit to Grand Haven until it later became one of the state's most used plank roads, until the opening of I-96 in 1962.

Genoa is covered with many shallow lakes used for recreational purposes.  Woodlands and farmlands are scattered about the township as well for pleasant viewing. The estimated 2010 population of this township was 19,821.
