Ceremony in Front of Livingston County's Historic Courthouse Name Unveiling -  A ceremony is held for family and friends when a new name is added to the county veterans monument of a Livingston county service person killed in a war.. Veterans Day - November 11 -  A small ceremony is regularly held at the veterans monument in front of the old courthouse in downtown Howell. Memorial Day Parades - Howell - Hartland - Pinckney - Brighton - Fowlerville - Hamburg Veteran of the Year Dinner & Awards - 3rd Tuesday in April - Posts are part of the council and can nominate veterans and auxiliary members for this honor. The public can nominate veterans and auxiliary members through the various posts. 4th of July Parade POW/MIA Recognition Day Pearl Harbor Day December 7th
